How to Make Your Own Valentine Flower Arrangements

Year after year, every February 14, lovers all over the world celebrate Valentine’s Day. This day is oftentimes associated with the expression of your innermost feelings to a loved one. On this day, if you feel like giving flowers, look for Valentine flower arrangements that suit your taste and need.

Lots of flower shops sell different kinds of flowers. There are florists who are very much willing to arrange flowers for you. However, you can do this yourself. You can be original and create something unique to make an impression with your lover.

First, you need to choose the shape of your Valentine flower arrangement. The shapes available are oval, triangle, vertical, minimal and free standing. There are other shapes but the five are mostly used for flower arrangements.

Second would be to determine how many flowers you plan to use for the arrangement as well as how many kinds of flowers you will use. You can mix roses with baby’s breath or red tulips with pink ones. If you decide to only give 3 roses, a vertical arrangement is best. For a dozen flowers, you may choose between the oval and the free standing type of flower arrangement.

After deciding on your number of flowers you will use, how many kinds of flowers and what shape of the arrangement will be, the next thing is to decide whether to wrap it with clear plastic or just keep it open. If you want to wrap it, you can also add Japanese paper and even some confetti inside the arrangement.

If you choose to leave it open, you can decorate the vase or the basket where the arrangement is placed. You may use lace, ribbons and other materials to complement the flowers you have arranged.

Finally, you can also add other romantic things aside from flowers. Things like strawberries, heart candies, chocolates or teddy bears can make your Valentine flower arrangement a winner in your loved one’s eyes.
