What Do the Different Colors of Roses Mean
With Valentine's Day quickly approaching, many people are thinking about sending flowers to thier girlfriend, wife, significant other...even their best friend. There isn't a woman in the world who wouldn't love and appreciate a beautiful bouquet of fresh, fragrant flowers!
But did you know that flowers, especially roses, can convey a message without saying a word? Giving roses on Valentines day, there are a lot of choices that can be made. The biggest choice is color and it's the color that will convey the message. Each color can mean something different. Make sure that your choice will say exactly what you want to say.
Red roses, of course, symbolize love. Dramatic and passionate, a dozen red roses, or just a single bloom, will make your Valentine swoon with affection!
Yellow roses symbolize friendship and compassion. Yellow roses are absolutely perfect for your best friend, whether that's a man or a woman! Yellow also represents joy, and what better joy is there in this world that a good friend?
White roses can be somewhat of a mystery. They symbolize a young or "new" love affair, and can also speak of innocence. White is a perfect rose color to give to someone you've just started dating or someone with which you have a casual affectionate relationship.
The meaning of a pink rose can be complicated! Pink roses can signify gratitude, gentleness, happiness or admiration. Perfect for when you really don't know what it is you want to say! Leave the interpretation up to the recipient!
Orange roses are my personal favorite. Symbolizing passion, excitement and attraction, these roses will convey your real feelings!
Last but certainly not least - lavender blooms. Lavender is a light purple rose that symbolizes mystery and mysticism. A very dark purple rose signifies love at first sight!
Giving a bouqet of beautiful roses for Valentine's Day would be a gift that would warm the heart and be welcome by any anyone - man or woman - for whom you have a certain affection. Use the colors of the roses send your message, or simply give a bouquet of assorted colors that say "I'm not sure what to say, but I sure do like you!"

I think my favorite bouquet of roses would have all different colors in it but if I had to pick just one color, it would be pink. Never cared for red though, which seems to be most people’s favorite.
I have had black and pink roses bought for me once, they were soo beautiful and alot nicer than the traditional red ones!
Is it possible for you to (or anybody else) help me to find the least expensive website to deliver flowers? All companies I have looked at are too expensive for me.
I received 3 dozens of roses in different colors last Valentines. It was truly marvelous. Me & my hubby spent had such a wonderful time. I am such a rosy girl.
I wish I had known all this years ago…I have actually sent the “wrong” colors one more than one occasion when i was trying to impress someone by sending a color other than red. Woops!
I guess the white roses is more suitable to me and my couple. I like white color but for roses I don’t expect that it meaning something like mysterious kinda like it =)
I guess I shallsearch for more newsabout it.
Hello, I just wanted to let you know.. that I’m very glad indeed that discovered it.
It’s interesting to learn about the meanings of the different colours, but I wouldn’t dare buy anything other than red for Valentines Day : )
